Since the indictment they no longer say that he is the brother of MSNBC's Chris Matthews which is sort of interesting.  When he was running for office he was sure to make the connections.

The one saving grace Matthews may have as, I understand it, is that his mortgage company did have an ABA going with Certified Abstract, but it was the parent company of Certified that had the contracts with the county.  It may not be a direct connection...sort of like defining  "is" for former President Clinton.
