The simple answer is that CoreLogic has always been named CoreLogic.  CoreLogic has been around since 1997, most of that time as a pretty small business.  First American bought the company for $100 million in 2007, then sold off CoreLogic last year.

The complicated answer is that most of what is now CoreLogic probably did used to have another name.  The CoreLogic of today has a reported 10,000 employees.  The CoreLogic that First American bought in 2007 had only 200 employees.  Obviously, First American added a lot of extra businesses under the CoreLogic name while it owned it.  Many if not most of these businesses were probably acquired by First American and previously went by another name.  So the real answer is that it depends on what unit of CoreLogic you are talking about.
