Well, just tell the offending client/former client that you accept electronic checks via Pay Pal and you''ll happily make it convenient for them to pay you either using PayPal's electronic check or they can wire the funds to your bank.

Even if YOU have to pay the service fee for the wire or PP transfer, it's worth it for any sum over $50.00.

Or, better yet, many banks now offer a scan check deposit system.  So, all they need to do is scan over the front and back of the check they are issuing to you, email it to you in PDF and you turn around and deposit into your bank.

The alternative is:  Hi, this is _______.  Are you in the office today?  Great, how long will you be there?

Then get IN YOUR CAR, DRIVE there and plop yourself down in their lobby.
