Thanks, that what I thought.

I use to do their work, I quit doing their work in either 2004 or 2005 because I was always having to chase up my money.

They did pay me everything they owed me in the end, but it took awhile to get it!

I have a policy, I do not work for companies who I have to chase my money up from, period end of story. Once I see that I am going to have to chase my money, I dump them.

There are TONS of good, ethical companies out there who just pay the people who do their work in a timely fashion. I only have 1 client that pays me 45 days, all the rest send checks weekly, 2x a month or every 30 days like clockwork. And this is as it should be!

All of you should call Dunn and Bradstreet and report this company to them. Companies like American Abstract work directly for lenders, and lenders check their credit and lenders will not work with companies that don't pay their bills.

And at least tell American Abstract that you are going to report them to D and B, I found this an effective way of getting what is owed to me. D and B also has a collection department you could turn it over to them to collect for you.
