These national title companies have created this atmosphere, online searches and calling it title insurance, here in Wyoming the statutes state you have to have a title plant or a Wyoming attorney, so many are operating illegal here, but no one is willing to do anything.  At our state land association convention, we address this issue with the department of insurance, they don't have the staffing to field all those calls, so we have been refusing those closings from national companies, but if we do close one, we turn the file over to the state department of insurance as a complaint.  So in my opinion is to get rid of the national companies.
