in 1991 the sale that I was waiting to record didn't get to record because the closing ran late & both parties were kicked out of the courthouse.  They consulted with me & I gave them the names of several local restaurants that would probably be willing to accomodate them so that they could finish their closing & drop the papers off at my apartment.
Imagine my surprise when 40 minutes later I opened my front door & found them all waiting on my stoop.  They wanted to  finish the closing in my apartment.  My child was an infant & sitting in his high chair in the dining room & my husband had just gotten home from work & was feeding him a jar of pureed peaches,  but, no matter, the buyers, sellers, & their attorneys jammed themselves into the dining room, cooed at the baby & said hello to my husband & went  right on with the closing.  I think my client paid me an extra $100 for my trouble, which was useful for buying diapers & more jars of  pureed peaches.
