Kind of funny the mixed responses that I got on this post. It was meant really as a heads up to abstractors. Yet the hostility was kind of amusing. I was trying to help you all by pointing out something that happens all the time. I always have someone in my office from 9-5 just for that reason, so we don't miss calls. If I need a search done in a certain county, I'm on the hunt. If you don't answer your phone; I'm on to the next number. And to answer your question, yes I do leave messages. I've been called back 2-3 days later in some cases...um, order has already been assigned. I'm not trying to belittle, just trying to give you a heads up that this is happening.
