Thank you, Leigh, for posting that!  VERY interesting.  I actually ran title (as an oil/gas Landman) in Ohio a couple of years ago, and fracking was in the future.  (This was in a different area from the Times article, tho.)  The deal the lawyer negotiated was incredible.  I've NEVER seen royalties that high and I've been doing oil/gas for a number of years now (off and on) in 4 states.  It's great to see those kinds of stories coming out of the midwest.  I have passed this on to one of my friends who is currently running o/g title.
