This reminds me of the time I was doing a search at the Los Angeles Court House on a large parcel and the owner was John Smith (a super common name in Los Angeles that had their own index books) I had to manually run the old index books (we had access to them in the 1980's) from like 1910 to 1950. I only looked at John Smith (he had no middle name) i started in 1910 coming forward, when i got to about 1945 and found a deed (property next door and part of our property) and on the deed it stated John Smith AKA Jon Smith, now i had to go back and run Jon for all those years. I can tell you i had nightmares for months, all those Smith index books were coming after me.......
