When I started freelancing I was unfortunately given bad advice from a trusted source about being a sole proprietor. But what got me thinking was I recently read an article, I thought it was on here but I could be wrong, about someone who was Incorporated or an LLC. She retired and cancelled her insurance, then was later sued over an issue related to her work/business and she lost the lawsuit, destroying her finances. I can't remember the exact details. She may have ran an accounting firm(?). Made it sound like a suit could break through the Corporate/LLC barrier. I'll try to find that article again and link it.
