Maybe this is a dumb question, but what does offshore have to do with boots on the ground abstracting? They have to pay American abstractors to do the search..I think it's safe to assume that companies in the states have more access to docs than offshore does. Really doubt offshore has resources that we don't. In my experience (15 years) companies will always do their online or subscriptions in house. In house meaning both on and offshore. So abstractors wouldn't be getting those orders anyway. It's not offshore, its technology that's the "problem".
I am by no means rooting for offshore here. It just seems like abstractors wouldn't get those orders anyway. Abstractors did get them before counties started using more technology. to post a reply:
