HELLO MY DARLINGS!
As a former vendor manager, I encountered this, a lot.
You have 2 options:
1. Reject it and say "send it back to the original searcher", just like you stated.
OR
2. Charge them (and the offshore people) an increased price for the long term. We Abstractors, Examiners, Legal Researchers, and Paralegals (lets not forget Notaries) are FED UP, and rightfully so. Offshore drives price down, and it is time they and everyone else, pays up. Can you blaim us? I do not know about the bulk of you, but it is my time, my expertise, my gas, MY BUSINESS at stake. I imagine for everyone else, it is the same. And it is not cheap. Before I got hired at my cushy 65k-a-year in-house Examiner Job (and later my Vendor Management job), I was part of "the golden era", making $50-a-pop on Current Owners at your local courthouse.
Whats that? You just got your current owner for mere dollars from your run-of-the-mill Offshore company and now you are coming to me to finish the job?? Get that checkbook or direct payment ready.
Or maybe you ARE an offshore company, who wants to beg at our heels to help you AFTER you took a majority of our work. Most of you do not even live here, care about American taxes, or care about the fact that tens of thousands, in the lease, have been laid off....with families to support, mortgages or rent to pay...wondering how you are going to make ends meet....or maybe thinking about how you have to dip into savings or your retirement, to make that car payment.....
XOXO
