Unionize or form a corporation or LLC to provide abstracts at your price....not theirs . You have no strength acting alone as independent contractors . As union members or share holders of a corporation or members of an LLC you can get around the Restraint of Trade problems. I know that the term UNION is anathema to some on this board, but a union can be whatever the membership wants it to be depending on its bylaws.
