Kurt:  The responses from folks who are telling you about no phone reception/or no phones allowed in courthouses is (highly) accurate for most of Michigan.  Actually, there is not a single cell carrier that covers my home...this is what happens when you have Amish neighbors and for some reason, they just don't think putting up another cell tower is cost effective!  I'm a vendor manager so there is always someone here to answer phones, but I know which of my subcontracting abstractors I can reach by cell and which I can't.

Please do not judge those you contacted who did not answer their phones.  They may not be allowed to while working in the courthouse or just can't get a signal.
