First American Title is probably the largest title insurance company in America.  They have divisions and departments all over the U.S.  I work for several different divisions of First American and have for years.  They are very good people to work with, and they do auto-pay in less than 30 days.  You should never do a search for a company that you didn't solicit.  When you get that first search order from a company you never heard of, you need to call them and ask questions.  I hope you can resolve this problem with them.
