All we really have is online certificates. No-one prints books anymore. In Essex South Registered Land both sets of records are maintained & are up to the minute. A prudent abstractor obtains both the paper cert & a copy of the online cert, but only once in 10 years have I found a discrepancy.
The real problem with Mid North is the Registrar's idea that there isn't a problem with information that doesn't match all the way around. Both Essex South & Essex North have disclaimers about Registered Land on their websites, including a caveat that online records for Registered Land may not be up to date, thus requiring a trip to the Registry to obtain the paper certificate. There is no such disclaimer in Mid North. Additionally, the date tab for their grantor index indicates that records are available from 1901 forward. That is not even remotely true. Grantor indices are available from 2003 forward. I, and a few other people, have had conversations with Dick Howe about these issues & yet nothing changes, which is why I warn people to beware of Mid North Reg Land.
I can't even go into the difficulties with Middlesex South Registered Land. I don't have the rest of the day to list the problems there.
