We just have one done for us at the same time we run upper court searches with either Signature Information Searches or State Capital Web Service.  The $2 charge just gets added straight through as a pass-through chrage on the title bill.  Upper courts searches in our state cover our state superior court system and the federal bankruptcy courts in the state.  We have had a couple names show up as a name in the database, and when we do, we have made attempts to notify the Federal Authorities.  The problem is, they don't seem to care what you have, and seem to be bothered that you interrupted them.  If we get another one, we will do the same thing of course, but it seems to me this is one more exercise we are forced to perform, but seems to have no practical purpose.
