I am one of the people who have voted with my feet on a law school education.  I am capable of doing the work but $100,000+ is just too expensive.  Instead, I'm in my second semester in the post-bachelor's paralegal certificate program at the local community college.  The one year ABA-approved program will cost me about $7,500 all-in, including books, parking, etc.  

If a steak costs $100 and a hamburger cost $5, I'm gonna get the hamburger every time.
