Well Kevin, I have been in a down spiral since the Bush years of Reps Frank and Dodd- I remember listiening to those hearings and wondernig , what in the world are those people letting loose- they set rules with no conditions at all- later attempted to fix it, but the damage had been done
I still do the abstracting , just not anywher near as much- and far fewer clients. I continue to pay my subscription fees so that I can access the counties I do work in, but that does not tend to break even either. NAt the settlement companies are pressed , or are wanting to do a little more "breaking even" so they insist on cutting my fees,. There still exists scavenger abstractors that troll along the bottom of the abstracting world to steal what they can with "deep discounts". So is the profession we have elected to pursue.
Dealing with it in Kansas now( less traffic and less costs)
