Yes.  Several years ago, it became apparent that abstractors were getting insurance to provide "proof of coverage" to clients that required it.  Then, they would cancel the insurance and their clients were unaware.  If the client is added as a certificate holder, the insurer should attempt to notify them if the policy is canceled.
