The "Right to Know" laws were intended to make government documents (ie documents created by the government) available to citizens with lawful intent. Most of the documents in county repositories were not created by government or even about government. Most of the documents were created by, are about and belong to the people who live and work there.

Public officials who recklessly publish these documents online should be reminded, "You Didn't Build That"!
