What amazes me about this is that I received a similar email some months ago. Just for fun, I wrote them back, asking their rates and turn-times, etc. They were quoting about $20 for current owner searches, which included all copies, etc. I asked them how they could possibly provide all copies needed when many courthouses do not yet have all copies available online. Well, of course they have Americans in these counties to get those for them.
" we currently working under local abstractors, if the images are no online, they help us to complete the file. Yes flat rate for searches. First you check out our quality of work and turn time."
So what fee are our local abstractors charging these guys to screw us out of work? In all of my counties, courthouse copies are 50 cents/page. Who is making money on this?
This just bums me out to no end...
