Keep believing the newspapers.  Typical of people.  It has NOTHING to do with serving the so called poor.  Did the owners mention that the building was deemed a historical landmark by the City of NY in 1973 and must be kept as such?  Of course they didnt.  Read up on what a historical landmark is in NYC and that will answer all of your questions.   Bottom line...the owners are full of lies.  Tell the truth.
