I skimmed the article & came away very flummoxed by the entire process. I understand that this man might have had an illness that caused him to become confused & not know enough to respond immediately to Wells Fargo when this first started. What I don't understand is the notion that the Judge was going to find in their favor, when it was their mistake - not his - with what appears to be gross incompetence on their part in continuing on with a foreclosure due to their own ineptitude.
I have a friend who's either getting a loan mod or being foreclosed on by Wells Fargo & it is a complete nightmare. Her parents are on the note, but not the mortgage or the deed & the originator at WF keeps insisting that they record a deed from them to her & her husband. They can't tell her why they want this done - just that they do want it done. When she, quite correctly, refused they closed her loan mod & started a foreclosure.
Local banks/Credit Unions are the BEST!!
