I would try him in federal court and seek the death penalty - this is exactly the kind of case it was made for. As for Miranda warnings, I do believe he is entitled to constitutional protections but I think it may be a wise strategy to question him without Miranda. There is probably more than enough evidence that they won't need to get a confession, or use any information they obtain against him. And, it is more important to get information from him to find out if there are others who played a role in the bombing that could be planning the next attack.
I don't think there is much risk that the questioning will jeopardize a conviction. I hope someone evaluated that risk. Of course, if he is acquitted, someone's head will role.
