I was under the impression that NC was an attorney state.  Isn't preparing a title report considered the unauthorized practice of law there?  If so, would you have to do the search for an attorney and have the attorney prepare an opinion for it to be useful (legal)?

I know there has been some discussion here before about NC, but I'm still not clear on how that works in practice.  If anyone can shed some light on this, it would be appreciated.
