I think it depends on the type of search.  If it was a full search, and the chains of title were not the same, we would charge extra for the additional chain (though probably less than two full searches).  If it was a current owner, we would most likely not charge anything extra.

Regardless of the type of search, we usually presume that vacant contiguous parcels are to be included in the search.  If there is any doubt, we call the client and let them decide if they want both searched, particularly so if there will be an additional charge.
