Yeah. I kind of agree. Though a trust is not an "entity" that can hold title (at least in Ohio), I do agree that the trustee is merely holding title for someone else. Whether the trustee is technically a "person," I'm not sure.
Because the law, or the trust document (or both) provide for successor trustees it seems to me that co-trustees holding title in survivorship would be at the very least redundant. If the trust document did something other than make the surviving trustee the sole trustee, the survivorship language would be contrary, and if you could do that it could really muck things up!
