I am so sorry for you getting stuck by M&M Abstracting. A very similar situation happened with my company. Debbie called and was very persuasive and we did over 70 searches for her as a rush in less than 2 days. They were also full copy searches. I never got paid for anything. I finally tracked her down, after losing her house in Middletown, CT she moved to Florida with her husband. She also used her ex-husbands business name as a reference to me. I also found out that she has been doing this for some quite time in the same way to people. I decided It isn't worth fighting a fight I didn't feel I could win. If you know of anyone else and we all wanted to get together and go after legally I do have her her contact information. Its just so sad, we should be all working nicely together to dispose of such people who purposely and knowing are coming in to our 'House" and stealing for then. Recently my issue was that firstam hired her and she contracted it our to our company because it was too much work for her to handle, she claimed her auto was in the shop. We hustled for her and I never got paid. I i tried everything but it got harder and harder when she moved to Florida, It has been a dead end so far ")
