I've been in the business 20+ years and I've never heard of anyone requiring General Liability Insurance to do a title search. I'd be highly suspect of anyone that did. E&O Insurance yes; General Liability Insurance no. We don't go to peoples homes to do our business, we do all our work at the courthouse. What happens on the way to the courthouse (accident/wreck) is not our customers concern or business. We are not employees. When I go to the courthouse I am not doing work for just one customer only, I am doing work for multiple customers. If a company contacted me requiring General Liability insurance to do work for them, my first thought/assumption is that they do not have any idea what we actually do or how we do it.
