Representing NALTEA, I am joining a few of the members of NAILTA on a lobbying trip to DC in October for two days of meetings with the members of the House Financial Services Commitee and the Senate Banking Committee about the issues. Representing NALTEA, we were able set up a face to face meeting last fall with Richard Cordray, the head of the CFPB for representatives of both NALTEA and NAILTA last fall. A false snow emergency in DC caused many of us to miss the meeting. It seems it was a succesful meeting for the folks that were able to make it. More than anything in the past, the new conditions mandated by congress for the CFPB are an important reason to band together via NALTEA to understand and present our issues.
