Minnesota also requires abstractors pass the State Abstractors Examination. Not an easy test, really tests proficiency!

There are potentially lsignificant egal penalties against doing real estate title work, O&Es, lien searches in MN without a license - see MN Statute 386.62,  MN Statute 386.65 et seq.
