You've handled the situation perfectly. Leigh is right that you have to ask, again, why there was a miss. It doesn't matter if it was just a clean, didn't see it miss . I'VE done that. What really matters is if this abstractor objects to the discount...a discount YOU have to absorb. If they're unreasonable about that and just can't admit the mistake, it's time to find someone else.
