I have gotten pretty well in the habit of googling the address of first-time potential customers. If they claim to be a large BPO operation, with a specialty in internet technology and consulting services, and overnight processing and, oh, by the way, offer title abstract services, I will limit the scope of work that we offer to that company.
It seems folly to extend any kind of credit to anyone who gives a false name, and an address of a two-bedroom townhome, or a UPS store, as the company's headquarters, when they claim to be much larger in their website. That is no basis for a business relationship that requires any degree of trust.
