No, you're NOT wrong for thinking that is "highway robbery"!  I have a loyal customer that I have to do current owner searches for $40 & that's killing me with everything being 3 times more expensive than it was when I quoted that price 6 years ago. 

I've been trying to muster up the courage to ask them for at least $5 - $10 increase to help cover inflation.  Probably 70% of the "current owner" searches I do for them are NEVER "current owners".  Some end up requiring 40 - 60 year searches & I don't get a penny more.  I wouldn't get up & walk from my bedroom to my office down the hall for $25.  I guess these companies think we do this for "fun"...NOT!
