I contacted an attorney's office in his area, The Law Offices of Jared P. Truman, PLLC.  They initially sent him a letter stating we had the intention of filing suit if he didn't pay.  That was met with no response, so a month later we supposedly filed a suit.  I haven't received any updates yet though, I'll probably give them a call later this week.  It may be worth emailing robin@turmlaw.com if you're interested, she has been my contact there.
