How would *I* find out what you wanted unless you told me? As I said, some companies consider a full search to be 40 years. Others SPECIFY they want back to the 1920's to try to find easements. Who you hire as an abstractor makes absolutely no difference. We're all going to do what you've told us to do and not assume anything. I work with over 40 Michigan abstractors. None of them are going to assume you want an 80 year search when you ask for a full search. If you say "easements and restrictions", a few might ask "how far back", but most will assume you understand that you will get that information WITHIN THE TIMEFRAME OF THE SEARCH -- a timeframe YOU tell US, not the other way around. If you farm out work, you've got to know this already. What I'm stating is the NORM, not the exception.
