There WAS a company in Virginia doing a lot of the HUD foreclosure work here. They tried to tell me that I was not being paid because the files never closed and it was in the contract that I signed that they only paid if the files closed. Obviously they did not read what I signed and returned as I drew a large "X" across that section and initialed and dated it when I signed it.

I went and checked about the searches I wasn't paid for and all but 2 of them had closed with deeds on forms from their company being recorded. I was then informed that they had not done the closings. They even sent me unredacted HUD statements to show that another company was paid for the title work.

I am not sure what happened after that, but the company no longer appears to be in business. At least not under the same name.
