I think this whole discussion of India versus America is a little disturbing and it really misses the point. I could ruminate on here about how much work our company has lost because many New Jersey Counties are now online, but I do not blame India. I place 100% of the blame for our lost business squarely on the shoulders of other Americans - our County Clerks in NJ - who have fecklessly spent my tax dollars on scanning and digitizing the records AND then, again using my tax dollars, putting the information on websites for free. I often wonder how many millions of tax dollars in NJ have been wasted on this process. I know of no member of the electorate who clamored to have their mortgage information (and in many cases, due to negligence of the Clerk, their social security numbers) posted online for the entire world to see. As to Knowledge Splice, they have been a client for over six months and I have spoken to Mike many times. I always found him to be a gentleman knowledgeable about what we discussed. As long as a client is willing to pay a fair price (which Knowledge Splice does) and pays timely (which knowledge Splice does by direct deposit), I am happy to do their work. I mean why blame a company like Knowledge Splice that is actually using American based abstractors when you have many huge American companies who have set up offices in India doing things online for nothing. I prefer Knowledge Splice's business model over those huge companies.... And by the way, given the quality of the websites and the information they do not contain - anyone searching online is doing so at their peril...
