Everyone presses for the best turn time they can get - national client or local attorney.
My question has to do with what I think of as the *loyalty factor* in this. Do you get all the work as a reward for accommodating escalating demands from a company or are you just another pebble on the beach.
I have no problem working out deals with my own clients & they treat me handsomely as a result. I do have a problem with threats, express or implied, to the end that if a company can't dictate its own price point & turn times to me as they please, then I will be dropped from their vendor list.
