It is important to remember that WE are the Professionals here. It's a bad idea to accept lower search fees for the work we perform.  Those who do, devalue our product.  Learning our trade is a process which takes time and it's also very specialized.  Those who argue this point may not be authentic title examiners/abstractors.  I'm glad you stood up for your product and time.  NALTEA is a group who is interested in addressing issues all good examiners face.  They even offer an abstractors Certification.  Check them out, it will be worth your time.  This is definitely the year for changes in our industry.  If we don't stand up for ourselves, there is a chance we may be stomped out.
