Yeah, I've paid for hundreds of $ for HIS copies !!
I googled 'Eclipse Real Estate Services" for sites to review them. Hopefully, if other abstractors want to research them before taking on work for them, this site and those reviews will warn them.
In case you're interested, you can review Eclipse on Yahoo, Superpages, Syracuse.com, MerchantCircle, and YellowPages. Though his website claims to be BBB accredited - he's NOT, so can't leave a review there.
Also, I've been given the advice to mail letters for each search remaining unpaid, to the purchasers, trustees, attorneys, etc, to let them know that due to non-payment (my searches all have a statement that the work remains mine until paid for), my company and insurance is not liable for errors. I also include Wayne Schutt's contact info, a copy of the work request, and email correspondence if needed. It's taking time to get through those, on the side of my regular work, but eventually I'll get around to them all.
Really, is it too much to ask to be paid for our work and reimbursed money we pay out of our own pockets for his benefit ??? Some are also keeping an eye on the state corporation commission in case he dreams up another company - he's had/has Halo and Revelations - he must pass himself off as a religious business guy =/ except for that whole lying/theft of services thing.
