& then there's Cambridge which has two separate storage areas. 

The easy storage is same day service, just get your order into the counter before 10.00 am & then sometime after lunch the file will be available. 

The really bad storage is out in East Brookfield.  Ordering is once a week on Friday.  If you miss it - then come back next week.  Retrieval & return to Cambridge from E Brookfield is 2-3 WEEKS & if E Brookfield misses a number & pulls the wrong file, then it's way too bad for you because now you will have two wait ANOTHER 2-3 weeks.  I have literally watched examiners go into hysterical, red-faced  meltdown because of this (felt like doing it myself a few times).  The age of the cases out in E Brookfield is the most outrageous part of it -  probates from 1872 (admittedly not much call for those) through 1970 - lots & lots of need for probates from the 60's-70's. 

Why probate cannot scan files is beyond me.
