Ron, title searching in WV is actually the practice of real estate law. While some counties have some records scanned and viewable online, those records are not certified in the same manner as the documents filed in the county record room. We have found many discrepancies between online records and what is actually indexed and filed at the county, which is why our office will not use online records for any legal service. I honestly do not know of any attorney in the state that will accept the liability for the uncertified online county records.
