I don't know David if there's anything that should be done here. Like you, I find the spam & the repetitive posts by persons who hijack other's blog posts & re-post them as their own work very irritating.
The entertaining thing though about people who offer to do current owner rundowns for $3.00 with 10 minute turn times is that all of us who actually do this work for a living know the impossibility of what's being offered. My clients, especially the out of state people, make me jump through large hoops to ensure that I can actually prove that I've been doing this work for more than a couple of months. I also have to provide proof of E&O along with references (a minimum 5) & they check those references. That being said, I seriously doubt that anyone reputable would have anything to do with people claiming to be fully trained title examiners; particularly when it's clear that many of them can't even write a grammatically correct sentence in English.
The other thing that occurs to me is that I have been in this business since the 1970's & have seen this "jump on the bandwagon" phenomenon before. I remember in the mid 1980's when we were all so frantically busy & then again during the last boom, the number of people who jumped in & called themselves title examiners, thinking that this particular career choice would be a royal road to fabulous riches. How wrong they were & where are they now-- that's a rhetorical question. They're gone. Flash in the pans, as I suspect the $3.00 rundown people will be. I don't fault them for wanting to work for a living. I do think, though, that they are sadly misinformed in terms of conquering the American title examining market.
One other note --none of these Boards are moderated. I don't know that Robert & Slade have the time to sit & sort through all the posts.
