We also have open invoices with them for close to $2,000.  They never paid anything!

 I wonder if any of you out there who are lawyers could advise what to do in a case like this?

Could several companies join together and try to prove criminal conduct on the part of the principle? Is there any way to prove someone is running a business based on stealing services and go after them personally?  Is it legal to present our case to the underwriters to get them cut off until they pay their bills?  Are we liable for searches that were never paid for?  If not does not the underwriter have a right to know who is not paying  bills?

There are unfortunately individuals out there who open title companies don't pay many or any of their vendors.  Once they cannot get work done they just pop up behind a new company and do it all over again.  Is there not some effective legal way to force payment and / or shut these people down forever?
