This happens all the time in county and state repositories. It's just another reason if you rely on online searches without making a trip to the courthouse you are putting your reputation and business at risk.

In 2012 I reported on a similar situation in Tarrant County Texas that quietly removed a million records from view in  One Million Records Missing From County Site . Just like with Pacer today, the complete records were only available at the courthouse.
