I hate to say it, but did you do a Mapquest / Google Map of the address? Seems horrible to need to do that, I know. I had one company that had an address that ended up being a Mailboxes storefront. I became a sleuther on a lot of this stuff by watching a nightly crime show like, "American Greed". I was positively shocked at how some of these companies misdirect. (Aerial and streetview, by the way is what I would look at.) Then run the address and see what all of the other business are that are located there. Superpages.com or Whitepages.com is also a good place to start. I also have started running the names of the individuals in Google or whichever search engine I am using, as well as the names of the companies. Then I also read up on the articles. All of them, whether pro or con. Realize too, that there are travel storefronts that sell overseas calling cards that also have track phones and things like that too. There has to be a way to call forward these numbers overseas as well. If we can call forward our phones, office to home here, then I cannot imagine that there is not a way to do that too. Another good indicator is when the answer, whether voice or email, is a little too much like reading off of a teleprompter or script.
