Thanks for the input.  I researched the properties and the subject owns the driveway, but there is a binding easement for joint use (unless something happens to neighbor's garage)   Maintenance is joint.  I am told that shared driveways are not that uncommon in St. Paul due to small lots in older parts of city.  Price reflects the negatives on value, so..... I guess my son is buying it.
