I tell all my clients I pass along the county's copy fees. I don't make money off that which is fine. I figure I make it up when one search takes less time than another, or what have you. Also, When I do document retrievals which I try NOT to do, but when I do, I will not charge for copies when I make fewer than 5 copies. That is covered by the doc retrieval fee I charge.. Hope this helps. But I would not under any circumstances charge LESS than the courthouse charges.
